UNLV BOYD SCHOOL OF LAW HOSTS FILM SCREENING OF "THE RESPONSE," A FEATURE LOOKING AT GUANTANAMO BAY MILITARY TRIBUNALS

ACLU of Nevada in cooperation with Amnesty International and the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law presents a screening of "The Response,” a 30-minute film based upon actual courtroom transcripts of Guantanamo Bay military tribunals. This film is in limited release and will be screened for the first time in Las Vegas.
The film looks at three judges who must decide the fate of a Middle Eastern detainee. The characters are fictionalized but the courtroom legal process is accurate and is based on researched conducted by the University of Maryland School of Law and Venable LLP.
